Larry Penn-Fishing Blues/Tribute to Badger 2

Railroad folk singer and retired union trucker Larry Penn sings "Fishing Blues" with reworked lyrics about the Wis. Department of Natural Resources' "Fish Car" Badger #2 at the Madison Gandy Dancer Festival on August 12, 2007. The purpose of the festival was to raise money for the restoration of the car, kept at the Mid-Continent Railway Museum in North Freedom, Wisconsin.

The DNR had an old fish car
They named it "Badger 2"
It was plush and full of stuff
to satisfy the crew

They traveled all around the state
they gave Wisconsin something great

The DNR had a Pullman car
and it was painted green
It was made by George of course,
of varnished wood and steel

The Muskie fry traveled all in class

Now the DNR sold the old fish car
but it's still around today
