If you say the singer's voice is limited, and the drummer is not talented, then you kind of tell us that you could do what they do.

(I remember the expression: "bachelor's wives and maiden's children are well trained")

But you don't. It's not about the "difficulty" of the music... They have a pretty unique sound, and that's what made them famous. Not the fact that they don't play like Led Zeppelin did or whatever.

Johnny Cash's style wasn't difficult too, yet it was so unique.

It makes it easier, just to say look kids it happems to be this is the worst period of music, a culmination of many years of a bad approach the label have been taking. So the taste of these kids is sealed with the prevalent flavor mediocrity

so if you cant compare whats the issue/. You do realize that the labels will try to make 10 other bk bands when there are artists in obscurity that are near or on the level of the greats. and because of the labels approaches those spots are only reserved fro bands that sound the same and will sell better, How does that help getting rock back, and saving the industry. MAn i am way ahead of you and trying to change it and am by the thousands who comment and are willing to have that discussion

it has nothing to do w chemistry (cause thats gonna be there anyway, in some form, so why talk about it). If all the guys are great in vocals,m or on their instruments they will create more nuanced genius even on simple songs, and these songs will receive greater artistic attention and last longer. End of story Thats my expertise and experience , and what its all about

I am a professional gigging musicians w producing credit and experience, I lived thru the greatest era in music, own all those seminal albums.

Th eprob is that Dans gtr playing is limited. If he were a ringer like Page, he would have the tools to branch out and discover things creatively that he could then execute on, and the songwriting would reflect that. Page and Zep wrote hits because they were high level musicians and performance

I would like to add to that, that in first place, I didn't want to continue this, but you're daring me to. It's just really difficult arguing to people who think they're the guru of music. And countering those facts?

"I can't even do what they do", no I can't, and I won't. I'm creating my own sound at the moment.

Originality is what you're talking about? Why do you care then, whether they can "copy" Pages solos or not?
