The best. I read the comments about the Manhattan Transfer & Take Six (2 of my faves too), but this is special, The real thing. They bridged another era (from 50's doo wop into the 70's funk). They do remind me a bit of The Dells though vocally.

mr kay, tell him to buy the live cd by the persuasions called ACAPELLA. THOSE GUYS HAD ENTIRE ORCHESTRAS IN THEIR THROATS LOL.the cd was recorded early in their careers ...they do a version of dont look back(tempts) and a version of old man river that will make your hair stand on end!!!!!!!!

@blacknuss6 I just got through arguing with a friend on facebook about the same exact statement that you made here!!! I'm 53 he's 59 I believe but he had the audacity to put The Manhattan Transfer and Take 6 in the same breath as The Persuasions...I told him evidently he really hasn't heard but a few of their songs otherwise he would never have made that statement!!!! Take 6 The Manhattan Transfer...NICCA Pleeeseee!!!!
