IN THE SCHOOL COURTYARD
Selena: (breathing hard and runs her fingers through her hair)
Nick: Selena, what's wrong?
Selena: I don't know. I mean, I have back pain, I threw up twice and I'm always tired. (closes her eyes)
Nick: Wait, you don't think..(looks at her stomach)
Selena: (looks down then looks back up) I don't know, Nick.
Nick: (takes a deep breath) You should see the school nurse.
Selena: She won't do anything. I just- I need some space.
Nick: What do you mean?
Selena: (closes her eyes and tears start coming) Maybe we should take a break.
Nick: (sighs then looks down) But, I love you.
Selena: I know, I love you too. But, just for 2 days. I need time to figure things out.
Nick: Okay. (hugs her)
Selena: (hugs him tight)
AFTER SCHOOL
Selena: Hey Demi, can I stay over at your house? Just for about 2 days.
Demi: Sure! You can stay as long as you want.
Selena: Thanks. And I need to tell you something.
Demi: What?
Selena: I might..I might be pregnant.
Demi: (jaw drops) What?
Selena: I've been puking, my back hurts and..I just don't know. But, you have to promise me you won't tell anyone.
Demi: I promise. (hugs Selena) You know I'm here for you.
Selena: Yeah. Thanks Dem. But, you know, I'm not for sure that I'm pregnant. I could just be sick or something.
Demi: (slowly shrugs)
Selena: (sighs) Come on, you should be excited! Your going out on a date with Joe!
Demi: (smiles) Yeah, your right. And, you can help pick out what to wear.
Selena: Of course. (smiles)
AT DEMI'S HOUSE
Demi: What about this? (wearing a tight strapless gray dress)
Selena: Nah, too fancy.
Demi: (changes) Okay, this? (wearing a cute blue dress)
Selena: Ehh, what's up with you a dresses?
Demi: I guess I'm a girly-girl.
Selena: Hmm..(goes in Demi's closet and pulls out red hightops) These would look awesome with that dress!
Demi: (puts them on then looks in the mirror) Wow, you were right! (doorbell rings) That's him!
Selena: Go! I'll just wait here 'til you get back. (hugs her) good luck!
Demi: Thanks! (closes the door and leaves)
Selena: (takes a deep breath then gets out a pregnancy test out of her purse-goes to the bathroom)
LATER THAT NIGHT
Demi: (comes back) Hey!
Selena: Hey. How was the date?
Demi: Amazing! He kissed me!
Selena: Awesome.
Demi: What's wrong? I thought you'd be happy for me.
Selena: I am. It's just- I took a pregnancy test when you left.
Demi: Oh my God. What did it say?
Selena: (silence- then nods "yes")
Demi: (puts her hand over her mouth) I'm sorry.
Selena: (starts to cry)
Demi: (hugs her) It'll be alright.
Selena: Demi, what am I gonna do?!
Demi: I don't know..But everything will be okay..
NEXT DAY
Selena: (wakes up then calls Nick) Hey, can you meet me at the park? I have to tell you something.
AT THE PARK
Nick: Is everything okay?
Selena: (looks down) No. (sits down on the bench)
Nick: (sits down next to her) Tell me, what's wrong?
Selena: (takes a deep breath) Nick..I'm pregnant.
Nick: (takes a deep breath) Are you sure?
Selena: (nods)
Nick: (silent) What are we gonna do?
Selena: I don't know. (hugs him) Nick, I'm so scared. (tears running down her cheeks)
Nick: I know..shh..I'm right here..I always will be..

Ooooh. I know this was a short chapter but next chapter will be better! (:
