With your review I realize that I could NEVER take your recommendations seriously. I had the opposite reaction to every one of your points of praise about Law Abiding Citizen. This is one of the worst films of the year. If Jamie Fox continues to make films like this, people (except you) will come to realize that he's not really a very good actor. "Ray" was a fluke just like it was for F. Murray Abraham when he won the Oscar for "Amadeus".

it was great but it has no replay value. The movie's all about the twist and figuring out how he's killing...once they show you, you won't watch it again. Although it was a really good ride

Gray's best film is still one of his first - The Negotiator (1998) with Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey. Desperately underrated movie full of great performances, twists and turns, and a tightly wound, claustrophobic chess match between the two leads. Not enough people saw it which is a shame, but it sustains a lot of tension over a fairly long run time, without outwarming its welcome.

I'm sorry but Law Abiding Citizen was god awful. The writing was ludicrous, acting atrocious. He was killing members of our justice system to get more justice for murderers? To teach them a lesson because they're "corrupt"? There was no inkling of them being corrupt the entire film, just Gerard Butler being insane. Oh and an ex-CIA mastermind (which they devulge 3/4 of the way through the film).

it sucked. very much.

@DriftMafia I KNOW RIGHT!!!!
-
@TheyCallMeBabii oh true,
none-the-less it was an EPIC movie
-
@DriftMafia It was ALL apart of a greater plan. Like he said he could hv easily killed them all way before the 10 years past.
-
@TheyCallMeBabii you're totally right exept 4 1 thing:
near the begining: he is trying to get revenge on the guy that killed his family, once he kills him, he goes to court and is about to get set free on bail, when he rants about how the justice system dosnt work.
no one listerns to him so, he kills innocent people 1 by 1 until he gets his message accross
WOW!! I was already on board but I'm so excited to hear the thoughts of people who've already seen it! Thanks for this.

I agree! This movie is great! Keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time. All the actors turn in fine performances. Saw this movie 2 days ago at an advance screening. Warning - a few gory scenes, but most is off-camera, and left to your imagination. If you like thrillers, this is a must see.
