Voice Minority (2008)

Voice Minority is a kick-ass supplementary school for young people from Black and Ethnic minority backgrounds.

We recorded two terms of workshops, doing interviews on the first day, then at end of each term. We also ran a few sessions, teaching the students how to use video cameras to film their poetry and how to edit their own footage using Final Cut.

This is the promotional video we made (first shown at the official school launch event in July 2008) to show how successful Voice Minority has been during its first year.

We think the video is an opportunity to start an honest, young person-led discussion about how important and beneficial initiatives like this can be for individuals and communities. Let us know what you think.
