Is a big announcement in the offing from The Holy Father about Vatican II abuses? If some bishops and cardinals and theologians have their way, the answer is YES.

  • Does not Vatican II grant the bishops the power to fully vernacularize the Mass though? And thus giving way to the disappearance of Latin from the Liturgy.

  • @Shlomayo Nope. In fact, Vatican II says EXACTLY the opposite!

  • The reasons you mention are the reason that when I decided to return to Catholicism after a 25 year lapse I decided to attend a Pius X chapel.

  • @needleduck Well, you are attending a likely valid but illicit Mass. So, you had better start attending a licit Mass if you possibly can - otherwise you are doing your soul no favors.

  • so should we view Vatican II as well-meaning but mistaken or as plain evil? In some circles, the word is adjectivized with the underlying connotation of misguided and "dumbing down" the Church liturgical practices. So many mistakes have been made. At one time in the past 45 yrs, my Dad told me they even had clowns at mass. I was shocked. How should I view Vatican II? Was the V2 Council erroneous?...I'm befuddled, because I saw how little praise the post-Vatican II English Masses receive..

  • @outtaker Well-meaning but poorly written, and completely abused by liberals. None of the evils we see today are allowed by Vatican II - but after Vatican II there has been evil.

  • In my church, the extra-ordinary ministers of the eucharist always take the eucharist from the tabernacle and transport it to the altar. As an extraordinary minister myself, I have always felt uneasy about this. Then recently I was told that there is a document written that expressly prohibits anyone but an ordained priest going into the tabernacle and transporting the host of the eucharist. Can you help me with this? I need a source document.

  • @needleduck look at fssp.org they might have a Church in your area...same Mass but valid and licit.

  • I love RealCatholicTV! I love that Micheal Voris speaks the truth! God Bless You!

  • in latin america or at least where i am from we recieve Jesus' body in our tongue.

  • Excellent!

  • When Pope Benedict XVI declares the dogma of the Co-Redemptrix, the ultimate weapon against modernism, then the great schism will occur and the modernists will form their own 'church', similar to the time of the reformation / deformation.

  • @outtaker no. We should see Vatican 2 as only able to be interpreted by the Magesterium itself...not so called "experts" that have ravaged its meaning. rewatch this video...it explains it very well...

  • Great news, the sooner the better. A priest in California who took advantage of his right to offer one traditional Latin Mass each Sunday was told by the Bishop that only parishioners or visitors staying at the home of a parishioner could attend. Presumably he wanted the priest to hire bouncers and have them check ID! What was he afraid of?
