  • Does anyone know a good site to watch this show on? I have been watching it and have had a couple problems but nothing huge, but now the three sites I use don;t have any working links to this episode and I really want to see it. If you know any then that would be really helpful. Thanks.

  • 0:12 Ryan kwanten hottest guy on the show !!!!

  • but that did not happen in the book !!!!!!! why do they change everything !!! in the book rusell didn't want sookie !!! he was guy !! and sookie killed lorena and the last book sookie gets eric and they get married !!!! and bill betraye her ! that just BULLSHIT !!! BUT ERIC IS STILL LOOKING SOOO HOT !! <3

  • @gerryschristine If he had thought "no, I can't use Sookie for my revenge, I'll better just die, and leave it to everybody else to deal with Russell, and Sookie as a blood slave for my worst enemy" I don't think that would have been the solution to anyone's problems...

What Eric did had multiple motivations and came from a rational examination of pros and cons.

  • @gerryschristine To say that Eric did it primarily to exact his revenge EVEN IF it meant he had to die to achieve it, you imply that he chose to die for his revenge when he could have lived if he had abandoned it. But that's not the case, because as I said he was gonna die anyway.

So again if we take the revenge out of the picture, his situation is the same.

  • @gerryschristine So what were Eric's choices at this point? He could just wait for Russell to kill him, or devise a plan that would at least kill Russell too. But the point is that Eric was gonna die EITHER WAY.

Of course, logically, you would chose to make your death useful and take the enemy down with you, thus saving your dear ones, instead of just dying and leaving everybody in the same danger as before...

  • @gerryschristine I think you are dismissing the complexity of the situation.

Rational reasoning: Eric knew that in a fight he was gonna die at the hands of Russell. he knew Russell would SURELY come for him. He couldn't think of anything to save himself. He refused to sell out Sookie and didn't even consider using her until Pam said Russel was after her anyway. and if Eric died, nothing would stop him from getting her.
