How's the trigger pull on the Cimarron out of the box?

Nice review. I love my Open Top .44Colt. Had it fitted with TruIvory and it's one of my favorite sixguns. With minimal action work and new springs it's slicker than butter on glass. I also have an EPS 1849 Californian but it's basket stamped.

@TheCiao96321 Older model revolvers, when not in the cocked position, sat directly on the primer. So accidentally bumping the hammer, or dropping the gun could cause an accidental discharge. By keeping the hammer down on an empty chamber, there is no chance of this. Today, there is a small rod that sits in front of the hammer when de-cocked or half-cocked that prevents the firing pin from resting on the primer.

i thought they made blankfiring replica's

Can you tell us more about this revolver? Was it put together well? How's the fit & finish?
-
These were originally chambered in 44 rimfire not 44 Colt. But, as he says, they were the first cartridge revolvers from Colt that were not conversions.
