Capt. Ed Mason and co-pilot Brad Everett are flying Mid-America Flight 54, twenty miles north of Laramie, Wyoming, when a UFO passes over their plane.
The boomerang-shaped vehicle hovers several miles in front of them, turns and approaches them head on, then chases the commercial airliner.
Meanwhile, Gus Shaftner is running for a local political office in Medicine Bow, Wyoming, and he claims the Air Force is covering up the fact that he was attacked by aliens while a passenger aboard a UFO.
I would love to see all these episodes...was too young when it came out and my bedtime was before the show came on :(

This is interesting, somerthing Iv'e never seen but heard of. Its a bit humourless but if it was done by Jack Webb his stand-up routine wasn't much cop either! So strange to see Kenneth Mars without his "VeevillmakkimruederdayeevosbernaFrankenstein!" German accent! The Nelson Riddle score made me anticipate a wildly orchestrated punch-up with the aliens though, chandeliers-the lot!

@INDOMEDEO These are actors that are picked mostly for their looks, you know. I remember having a conversation with a bald guy in a pub who reckoned he'd washed his hair away as; "You never see a bald caveman!"-he meant the 'actors' you see playing cavemen...

Jack Webb was one heck of a workaholic! He had his finger in everything. Anyoen with the courage to say "high strangeness" in an intro with a straight face deserves a shout-out. I love Dragnt, Adam 12, and this show was good too. RIP Jack - you were excellent.

@Hogums I agree, late 70s sci-fi tv was great for kids at that time. Other notable sci-fi tv series which were popular with kids were Space 1999, Battlestar Galactica, and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.
