***KEEP THE COMMENTS CIVIL. Disagreement is ok, but don't be a d-bag***

This is a quick review of the inexpensive and much maligned 9mm ploymer pistol from Smith and Wesson.

  • is that a W. C. Wolff reduced power striker spring you have previously installed? And I too have shot Glock .40 and a Sigma .40 side by side and I'd take a my SW40VE ANY DAY over the Glock22...

  • @JBPlato I can't remember which brand it was, but I ended up putting the old one back on due to light primer strikes. The trigger is just heavy, there's really not much to do about it. I just wish they fixed the gritty feeling. I've dry fired one of the new SD pistols and the trigger is smoother, but still heavy

  • thanks for vid. do you know how many pounds on trigger pull?

  • @9072aaa I don't remember, but it's stiff. I guessing at least 7 pounds

  • Smith n wesson makes amazing firearms, but the sigma series is garbage.

  • @mattthekingdong Garbage is a bit strong. I thought they were well built, but the trigger was gritty.

  • @piersonmochoa44 Sigma's are not "crap", but they suffer from a less than stellar trigger. My Sigma worked just fine and was very accurate. The only reason we don't still have it is due to it being my wife's gun, and she didn't like the stiff trigger. The comparison to the glock refers to its design and internals. Glock thought they were similar enough to sue Smith and Wesson, and a jury thought they were similar enough to award a judgement to Glock.

  • The Sigma is not a crap gun, Smith & Wesson don't make crap guns. I like my SW9VE a lot.

  • Add a houge grip and its awesome. Ill take my sigma over glock all day.

  • I am new to fire arms and just purchased my first gun yesterday. I purchased the Sigma 9mm and put 50 rounds through it with pretty good accuracy for a beginner. Thanks for the educational video.

  • @Friedstuffsable ARE YOUR SERIOUS! Hahaha. This guy feels so stupid that he feels the need to stalk me now! You read a couple of my previous comments and think you know shit. My conversation with this guy is completely different but your like a woman. You do or say something stupid and try to dismiss it by attempting to create a similar situation from someone els. Hahaha! I have a youtube wife now! Ok I'm gonna ignore you now like a hormonal woman. Seriously, she needs to be disarmed...

  • @MindBeyondAverage You just did the same thing you accused me of. The M&P line is directly influenced by Glock. Again, I'm not saying one is better than the other. Thought I'd clear that up before you made assumptions again. S&W was sued in their pursuit of Glock's success. & That is a fact not an opinion. So now I see why you are so butthurt. You are a new M&P owner & you think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

  • @MindBeyondAverage Congratulations :) Hope it gives you many years of good service, I am toying around with getting a CZ75b in the next year myself, when my next permit comes in. Also thinking of maybe a taurus .44 mag revolver, but the 9mm is sooo much cheaper to shoot, and taurus has a foggy reputation. I like the 5" barrel on the CZ and it has great reviews, supposed to be the browning high power of the eastern block, lol. I have a ruger sp101 .357 right now and am used to revolvers.

  • @Gun4Freedom Didn't take it personally and I agree with you for the most part. I just think that your statement is over exaggerated. Mostly the "I wouldn't depend my life on", part. There are many many cases of Glocks malfunctioning. I think a better point to make would be that with this weapon, one must take more care of it as apposed to others and be more choosy on the ammo. Other than that its a good weapon. BTW, just purchased an M&P9c today. EXITED...
