A daytime trip to Cateechee, South Carolina, in Pickens County, about 18 miles west of Greenville. Main attraction is the haunted abandoned Cateechee School House, built in the 1920s, closed in the 1970s. Have heard local legends of both the school building and the old mill village itself. Please resprect "no trespassing signs" and private property if you check this out. Will be back for a night vision filming in the near future.
I live in liberty and i want to go there at night.

@xebulen What is a skl? There is no devil worshipping stuff. There is only a bunch of spray paint from people that doesn't respect the fact that it is private property.

I live in Cateechee. My mother went to school there and I went in the school house quite a few times in my childhood, which was about 15 years ago. It was abandoned and everyone was afraid of it then, but we never found any ghosts. There is no such thing. It is NOT haunted.

I believe most old,abandoned/deserted buildings appear 'spooky'/'haunted',& we can convince ourselves there IS something supernatural/paranormal present.Hopefully you'll be able to spend a night there with your camera to find out whether there's anything 'haunting' the place.Good luck!

Lived in Cateechee from 1966-1977 and went to this school until condemned and closed. Got some shivers from that place and especially in the basement where the lunch room was located. Went back years later before boarded up and got the same shivers when walking through. The lunch room and auditorium will give you some strange feelings. Want to find the owner and get permission to spend the night with camera's and videom equipment just to satisfy my curiosity. Mom still lives in cateechee.

My father attended this school and about two years ago we had some family in from out of town that were also students there. We had a chance to walk around the grounds a bit and i can honestly say that while in the basement i felt the most uneasy feeling i have ever felt in my life. While we were there a door slammed VERY hard and we knew we were the only ones there... needless to say we left. I will NEVER go back to Cateechee. Im from Liberty which is around five minutes from the school.

Very interesting video !! I've never heard of this place before. It would be interesting to see what you find should you decide to go back and do a night investigation.
