Udaipur is a lovely place to relax! Situated on a great lakeside makes you want to stay for some time.
BUT please, dont waste your time with watching the daily show of the Octopussy James Bond movie that took place in the famous Jagniwas Island Hotel and is shown every evening in EVERY place.....
RANAKPUR
Jain Temples are famous for their rich decorations. But the architecture of the temples in Ranakpur is unique! They offer the most magnificent stone-/marblecarvings.
The main temple consists of around 1500 pillars - not two of them are the same. Walking through the halls with the different play of lightrays makes you feel like in a dream.
KUMBALGARH
This is a huge area with plenty of ruins and a main castle on a hill. It is well worth a visit, but if you do Ranakpur and Kumbalgarh on one day, give Ranakpur more time!
