No its the original taken from Chicane's firt album, Far From The Maddening Crowds.

I'm not sure who came up with the idea to mix the vocals with the instrumental.

Cool, album sounds like its worth looking up. First time i heard this was years ago on renaissance the mix collection vol. 4, listed as 2 tracks on the sleeve so i was under the impression it was Ian Ossia or Dave Seaman, could be wrong though. Still its far superior to the shortened '97 radio edit, and best version on youtube, thanks for uploading this!
