My quaker will purr when my husband and I tuck him in bed at night or when he is just content to be with me. I love it when he purrs.

i heard it and i have that same bird exact everything and my bird you have to pet him for like 10 minutes just to get him to di not even a half a second purr.. my family was going to sell him back -_- =P i told them i would hold him everyday and yeah we have had for about a month or so check him out so far he is on Quaker Parrot Dancing! I had a green cheek and I swear nothing but a cockatoo could be more cuddly. I now have a maroon/painted conure and he does not want me to ever stop cuddling him. He's a mooch! I work in a great pet store and we've had Quakers, but not nearly as snugly as a green cheek, maroon, painted, or dusky conure...or as quiet. ^_^ They all make awesome pets though!
