This laser uses the 803T diode being ran at 110ma in a Pelican flashlight. The camera makes the beam and dot of the laser appear a lot brighter and more blue than it really is.

With in the the visible light spectrum, lasers which are closest to the violet end will generally burn better beacuse they can be more readily absorbed into the target, however a different colored target awell as what the target is made out of can affect what color laser will burn it best.

using soldering smoke as a fog medium is a terrible way to enhance lasers. especially if you use a high wattage iron.
