I think mine might b a little smaller or bout the same. I was actually really worried that she might not b full bread but everything checked out. And now I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world.

She's adorable! I have an ACD also, and she's quite small. Her ideal weight should be 25-27lbs (according to my vet) but she is currently 35lbs. A lot of people think she is an Australian Shepherd because of her stumpy tail. I read that ACD's can be born with stumpy tails. Sam was born with hers, and is from a line of heelers bred in California.

Mine's a purebred too and really small! She also loooves to swim. She'll run as fast as she can and fly into the water. :)

That would be kinda sad.. The size of the dog doesnt rly matter, that truly is a misconception. It's the time u spend on the dog that makes the difference with an active breed. ACD's can be great in an apartment, as long as u give it exercise:)

Our ACD is a year old and weighs about 35 pounds but she is super tiny, compared to the breed standard. She's a bit on the chub side (has a serious affinity for cat food, all food actually) and is slimming down. We hope to get her down to a fighting weight, so to speak, of about 25-28 pounds which would be about right for her stature. we too have gotten the mini ACD comments. I did from one breeder who said they are being bred to be smaller for apartment dwellers. Not sure I like that though.

MY little ACD weighs 27 lbs. Looks about the same size. Sometimes when I walk her downtown people say she's a mini cattle dog. That's just silly since the girls are often much smaller than the boys. Cheers!
