Carving a turkey can be an intimidating idea if you don't know the correct technique. In this video, Williams-Sonoma culinary expert Amanda shares a few tips and techniques to make the turkey carving an easy affair.

How a turkey is best carved depends on where it is being carved. Some people may prefer to carve the turkey in the kitchen and bring the meat cuts on the table. Others prefer carving it at the table itself.

When carving at the table, Amanda suggests starting from the breast area. If you are planning to carve in the kitchen, you can start with a clean cut between the leg and the breast. Another tip to follow in the kitchen is to remove the entire breast by cutting across the bottom; doing so will make slicing and serving the turkey an easier process.

The drumsticks should be separated from the thigh part carefully and all the meat on the drumsticks should be sliced while rotating them. The wings should be carved at the end as they provide support while carving the rest of the turkey.

With these carving tips, you will easily be able to share your beautiful Thanksgiving turkey with your guests.
