Thanks, MVBART. A couple of questions: first, how does the solo piano version sound? I have the music and wondering if I should learn it. Second, are there any other versions? two pianos? Finally, does Mr. Tirino have any plans to perform in Arizona or Southern California?

The two versions are pretty much the same although we added some extra repeats and cadenza-like passages in the orchestral version.

Lecuona es un gran compositor, no hay ninguna duda de eso. Pero no hay que perder de vista la sobreabundancia de grandes compositores en Cuba, que han quedado un poco eclipsados por la presencia majestuosa de Ernesto Lecuona. Como dijo Paquito D´ Rivera: en Cuba los compositores se dividen en dos grupos: Lecuona y los demas.
