ʻLost Waxʼ traces the story of Ian Walters, an artist who has captured history without becoming famous himself.
He devoted his energy and talents to the promotion of socialist politics alongside creativity to form sculptures that
make people stop in the street and appreciate that art is not detached from real life, but part of something that
helps to shape our cultural identity.
"Ian was one of those visionary artists whom you come across just once in a lifetime. He was an inspiration and
he never shied away from controversial issues. Ian dedicated his life and career to depicting through sculpture
the freedom fighters and heroes of liberation, justice and equality." Guardian Obituary 2006 Tony Benn
