I think...I think I know what this is about. An addiction, the clors representing the colors he sees when he's high(a little bit before this he fell back into the use of hallucinagenic drugs, giving us Disintegration), and he's sorta realizing things are getting ruined, like when he asks "Is there room in your life for one more?" meaning he knows he should stop....and....yeah thought I had it, but I'm confusing myself.

This song is amazing. And this video...best I've ever watched!!! Ever,period,end of story. This song inspired my favorite solors for my clothes...I have gold pants and lots of red and lime green and tangerine tanks. I gave birth to my first son one day after I danced on that song when it was just released! I showed the video to him now, quite a few years later, and he thought I was "cool" :-) I love The Cure, I hope all my three kids will end up loving them too, and I do agree this is one of their best songs.

Sorry but one of the things The Cure can't be called is empty, bad, stupid, boring or flat. Have you listened to any of their other songs?
