The modified Morane is Back!!

The first flight of the modified Morane Saulnier after the modifications. shortened gear legs by 2 inches. Lowered the wing by 1 inch. Fan-cooled Big Twin engine with Culver 80 X 53 wood prop.

I bought the same engine but free air for my Ragwing Heath project, can't wait to finish it! Was wondering why you went to the fan cooled? Sounds great!

We had a heck of a time getting a cooling system that worked with the cowling on. We finally solved the issue with the installation of large eyebrows (like a J-3) and the problem was solved. Got to the dawn patrols' web site, drop me an email from the "about" page and I'll send you a photo of the final installation.

You need to bottle up the sound of that engine and put it in an alarm clock. I could wake to the sound of that every day for the rest of my life!!! Perfect idle speed too! Thanks for the smiles!!!

Looks and sounds great.  Be interested in some performance figures when you get them. Climb, cruise, stall and such.

Flies nicely! Does this thing use only rudder? or probably bending the wing-tips in some way?

Dick, I've got to tell you, I've always enjoyed following the exploits of the Dawn Patrol in text, but to watch your videos just increases the smiles and enjoyment tremendously. Keep 'em flying.
