then you distribute 5 and -3

wich is

5y-25=13-3y-6

then you find the solution wich is 4

How do you get 4

5*4=-25

13-3*4-6=-25

and thats how you get 4

You're supposed to collect like terms on each side of the equation.

5y - 25 = 13 - 3y - 6

5y + 3y = 13 - 6 + 25

8y = 32

y = 4
