HD version of the animation featuring a flying wing passenger aircraft. These designs are supposed to offer higher carrying capacity and better fuel economy than the more traditional designs. If you have an idea for a short on design, innovation and/or science let us know at www.proxonicvisuals.com

  • Vincent J Burnelli, father of the BWB concept.

  • makes to much sense to build something thats gonna make you money i guess..

  • @Kmagnus80 What no resources? Germany simply had no resources for those crazy inventions. And people from the famous German brands like Junkers and Messerschmitt even had full scale models before they tested their planes in real size (like the Me109 before the war). The Prototypes of the first Flying Wing in the USA for example came after they stole the Ho IX. And the first BWB was the Junkers G38 ^_^ they have not read all the stolen German patents until today... 1.54tons of paper.

  • @god4488 A side note: My professor told us how his boss and him at douglass aircaft (now boeing) were looking and wing sweep at transsonic speeds during WW2and when WW2 ended his boss went to examine captured NAZI aircraft data which confirmed that wing sweep helps reduce drag. The americans had all the math and science figured out but because of resource allocation they were unable to test full scale figures, so your right we did copy the germans in that aspect!! lol

  • @god4488 But the germans thought it possible given their outstanding abilities, yet the stabilty problems proved to much (why the US and Brits didnt attempt it in the same scale as the germans). Germans are great and have taught the world a lot about engineering, but us Americans have contributed a wealth of knowleddge and provided some amazing insight too!!! lol

  • @god4488 I haven't signed on in quite some time, first time today in almost a month, its fate! lol. Yes agreed, the Germans were/are superb aerospace engineers, I beleive you are talking about the german blended wing design pursued by the NAZIs. They were ahead of their time, in many aspects and had unlimited resources at there disposal, however according to my professor, theoretical predications of this design were already determined all around the same time by both german, US, and UK engineers

  • @Kmagnus80 wow, looks nearly exactly like an Arado 555.. its always the same.. just a copy from the Germans... even during ww2 they knew how the future will look like...

  • My professor is in charge of this project!! He has some amazing insight into this

  • haha .. its funny to see that people think alike, I also thought the future planes will incorporate engines above the plane as opposed to below. Just in case it lands without gear ..

  • shame we won't see this until 2020 and the army is going to have the first model.....
