What kind of Supermini would British sportscar makers Lotus produce, were they in the market to make that kind of car? Thanks to the Proton Satria Neo, honed to perfection by the Norfolk manufacturer, we dont have to wonder..

In case you werent already aware, Proton owns Lotus. The Malaysian companys marketing machine has been in overdrive recently, striving to make sure we all know that. The result is that for some time now, the Norfolk-based sportscar firms finest chassis engineering know-how has been brought to bear on new Proton products. The Satria Neo, however, was the first Proton to actually carry the Lotus mark about its bodywork.

The question that fast hatchback fans have been itching to know the answer to is; does this mean the Satria Neo is a cynical marketing ploy or a thinly disguised Lotus?

Ambil contoh toyota la, dah 75 tahun dalam bidang automobil, umur proton baru 22 tahun, memang tak boleh compare la. martabat orang melayu, terletak padan orangnya sendiri. kalau orang macam kau ni sendiri yang suka nak jatuh2kan, memang tak kemana la martabatnya. kenapa toyota boleh pergi worldwide macam sekarang ni? sebab orang dia sendiri yang patriotik sanggup beli dan pakai kereta toyota walaupun awal2 dulu toyota sucks.

  • korang selalu cakap Proton ni selalu tiru design Mitsubishi. ye memang betul tapi Waja, Satria Neo, Savvy, Saga BLM, Persona/Gen.2 Proton yang design sendiri.

    korang tak terfikir pasal Perodua pulak ke? c'mon lah, model-model Perodua semuanya adalah daripada Daihatsu sepenuhnya. dari Kancil hingga Alza, semuanya model Daihatsu (termasuklah Myvi yang rakyat Malaysia agung-agungkan tu!). Perodua tidak pernah design model kereta sendiri!

    orang melayu memang suka menghina apa yang bangsa sendiri buat..
