The Weissen Ritter will always be annoying, and at least Elf is not the annoyance that she is in FE5. She's really a pain there.

FE5 Elf can become depressing fuel too if you don't recruit/save a certain character, but I forget who it is. Sara I think?

Elf doesn't change at all if Sara dies, she just gets her portrait. Elf is basically an enemy Sara who'll throw 30 magic Berserk and Resire your way without trying.

All the while having Wrath and Prayer...
