Video animation I did for some med students. I'm sorry there's no sound, it wasn't my task to provide voice overs or narration. For the record, I have *no* idea how this actually works.

  • @carmensitaband : it indirectly tells the role of urea..

    as you see urea is added to tubular fluid from intersitium and then in medullary collecting ducts it is again re-absorbed into medullary interstitium, so it is responsible for maintaining high osmolarity of medullary interstitium, a factor responsible for COUNTER CURRENT MECHANISM of concentrating urine.

    you can watch videos for counter current multiplier to understand this mechanism

  • ok... that didn't even explain the role of urea...

    it just showed how it is made permeable to water..
