The Bieber, really? Why is he in a discussion about musicians? Bowie and Nirvana are/were musicians, the Bieber doesn't belong in that discussion, regardless of whether you like "his" music. He should be discussed along with Selena Gomez, Miley Sirus, etc.
That said, I honestly can't decide which version I like better; I think they're both pretty special. I like them for different reasons. The final nod from me might go to Bowie, cause he wrote it.
