The sixties had originality but so did the 70s and 80s. The 90s and now (the early 21st century) has no originality. Even Lady Gaga copies from "old clubwear".

Plus, the styles that ARE original today look absolutely ridiculous, like something out of the Fifth Element. I guess that's more to do with a lack of options as opposed to a lack of creativity though.
