Zatoichi Meets The One-Armed Swordsman

When a small boy is about to be executed, Wang Kong, a one-armed swordsman from China, steps in to save him. Now with a price on his head, Wang Kong must become an outlaw to survive.

Meanwhile, Zatoichi comes across the same small boy in the arms of his mortally wounded father. His last wish is for the blind swordsman to take care of his son.

When Zatoichi and Wang Kong meet, their different languages act as a barrier between them. The two swordsmen are destined to meet in battle, and only one will walk away.

@Abensberg let's suck yourself, this movie had two version, in the first one, the chinese wins, in the second one, the japanese wins,

everbody know that the best action movies in Asia are made by Chinese, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Donnie Yen are all chineses. Zatoichi is the greatest warrior in Japan, but in a country as great as China, they can find at least 10 warriors as great as Zatoichi.

I love this movie but I sort of missed watching it when it first came out. My two favorite icons Shintaro Katsu and Jimmy Wang Yu in one film, wow! I found Wang Yu's walking on top of trees amazing at that time when i was still a young teenager. That 'gimmick' preceeded crouching tiger, hidden dragon by 3 decades! @Abensberg That "china sucks" is probably among the most ironic things you could say considering what the movie is about.

Besides, Wang Kong is famous for a reason because like many Chinese he's badass.

Dude throws Kunai at you while your sword arm is occupied? Catch with your teeth

Enemy uses dual sword style? Learn 3-sword style (yes, with one arm, that's how badass he is)

Pissed off a Japanese Warlord and can't explain yourself? No problem, just cut through all the samurai.
