YOU WANT TOAST? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TOAST!

Of course the waitress was not accomadating to make a point...the Menu was telling how you must, live, behave, what to accept...ordering off the menu is not allowed, no individualism. I see comments about song lyrics, Movie sene's...so much fly's over everyones heads, it's as if the ability to reason, think, examine is gone!

I won't respond to one individual. 4 my sake, sake of this Country, the planet that most commenting have not seen the movie. This is one of the great scenes in American Cinema. The Diner, the waitress, the customer..(Jack Nicholson) It is all symbolism to make a point.
It isn't about the "Toast" understanding the character it is about Rigidness of Society, the Establishment, free spirit individualism is not welcome. Also keep in mind this was made in 1970. Of course a Diner would have....

Hey honey: why don't you read the meal and be surprised for the trust of the proprietor. This the 21st century.

@mbabcock111 I can't even remember what I typed down! I'm sure that it was something completely biased and stupid. But you have a point there.

@Atzil If this is unequivocally one of the greatest scenes in American cinema then the bar has been set so low you could crawl over it... Are you serious or high?
-
@AGuyInAHat and some have their democratic right to be wrong.

@renfieldvonklauss really...? Do you honestly believe this to be true? Have you really thought this through? Take a moment and think about how a customer could be wrong. I would wager a generous sum that, once you begin, you will find it difficult to stop. Don't be a puppet for the service industry. Think for yourself.
