USSR 'secret' Vietnam soldiers speak out

Russian veterans have gathered to mark the anniversary of America's withdrawal from the Vietnam War. More than 3,000 Soviet soldiers fought in the conflict despite years of government denials that they were ever involved.

Huh? WTF is the reporter talking about?!!! We all know there were USSR advisors. Saying that Russia denied existence of USSR advisors was incorrect; for sure USSR denied USSR troops.

Advisors can be engineer, weapon experts, etc...

@shughes375 they supported the northern alliance and today they are the afgan army and government you could say they are fighting with and against the former mujideen

@billymaysproductions it wasn't the taliban it was the mujiadeen they united to fight off the invasion farmers, tribes etc after the war they spilt into different factions and a war broke out the country was very unstable some mujiadeen fighters went to pakistan for help then they formed the taliban trained there in pakistan after a few years they came over the border and fought the different factions one called the northern alliance... they formed a government then after in 2001 us invaded

Now... Were any Americans in the afghan war against the soviets in the 70's fought against the Russians along side the Taliban ?

Are you as butthurt as your government was back in the day? so much so that they were desperate enough to fund, train and equip militants in Afghanistan to fight against the USSR? ironically the same militants who smashed airplanes into your skyscrapers couple decades later, karma I say, but it is shame that west didnt learn lesson, now aiding rebels in Libya, how long before they stab you in the back just like mujahideen of Afghan.

Y drink to that where's tha soviet union today huh? Where. Tha US recovered in desert storm where was tha union then o I forgot it folded just like communism before tha 90's now russia is one of the shit holes of the world not even a superpower anymore wat a waste.
