Core i7 920 vs 960 in Cinebench Benchmark!

I have made a video of an overclocked core i7 920 D0 stepping to 4.2GHz with Corsair H50 and ran the Cinebench benchmark. I also show how little difference in the score the 920 gets vs the 960 (clocked at 3.2GHz), therefore i conclude that it is more economical for you to purchase the 920 and save $340.

If you think otherwise, please post a video response or a comment showing your score in Cinebench!

youv got the voltage of the cpu pritty much as high as you can, so theres no chance of u ocing it anymore than 4.2ghz, but i have seen the 960 at 4ghz at only 1v, so the overclocking potential of the 960 will out preform the 920 in that respect

@MrRyaz Yes, the 960 is an amazing chip no doubt. cannot really compete with 920 when OC the 960.

Ive seen benchmarks that put the 960 miles ahead of the 920. I mean you are overclocking the 920 by quite a bit, and your not overclocking the 960 at all.. right?

@tennispro3782 the test showed that an OCed 920 can get higher results than 960, considering the price difference. obviously 960 is a better faster chip, but for the price difference at the time of the video, it was unreasonable. now they've dropped the prices!

dude, your cpu just hit 83c in like 10 seconds, you cant run like that in a game, it would be into the 90's in a few min's. get a better cooler, or downclock, you just proved how a 960 is better. cant run a 920 at thoes clocks without expencive cooling like mine

in 19th janury my i7 920 will get 5 years old !!! i haven't bought another cpu because it was and it still is better than amd cpu's and quite as good as todays intel's processors ...my cinebench score at 3.00GHz is 5.20pts...

i have the i7 960, i wanto overclock to 4.2ghz, but i dont know how mutch i have to rase my voltage for my cpu, in bios, ive set the voltage to 1.6, but when i reboot, it says ''to much voltage for cpu... does enyone know how mutch voltage it needs to run stable?
