  • It's not like he can't play in other time signatures or jam out some nasty triplets, etc etc, it's just that he is a drum n bass drummer and that's how he identifies himself.

I searched for him expecting nasty live drum n bass beats, and he provided. I'd be irritated if I had to wade through videos of him jamming out some retarded 7/4 progrock beat before I could find the shit that he is known for.

If you're not impressed by this guy, you don't like drum n bass. Different strokes.

  • dude....its dnb...its not supposed to be fucking complex as shit, off time, or any of that. im a drummer, i've been a drummer for 9 years now, touring and in studio. just because a man makes his living and lives his dream playing a genre of music the way its supposed to be played..doesn't meen that he's oblivious to all other musical ideas.

  • mad as fuck as he is now the drummer for PENDULUM

  • Saw him last winter in Syracuse, blowing minds!!!

  • This guy is one of the best dnb drummers!!!totally respect him... and it seems like he always steps up his game and is constantly improving!!! nothing but respect for this guy!!!

  • Right on dude. I understand and realize that there are many styles of music. I shouldn't have been so judgmental.

  • I absolutely agree with you man. I had never heard of this guy before so I wasn't able to fully appreciate where he was coming from, if you know what I mean. Sometimes you need to be exposed to material a few times before you "get it". He is pretty amazing, a regular human drum machine.

  • I would be willing to bet that KJ is packing shows in seattle as we speak, i would know I saw one two months ago, standing room only, and everyone was fucking MASSIVE together. you would have to see a live set to understand the dynamics he presents, you cant just watch a 2 minute clip and understand the context from which that clip is taken from. I've heard he played a four hour plus set. do you know drummers that endure that? prolly-not.

  • Why would you think I don't know what I'm talking about. Just because I have no idea what dnb is, well if that's the case then you're right I have no idea. But I do know about music and I know that this guy isn't bad but the shit he's playing here is nothing, this is high school level playing my friend and if you don't think so, oh well because I know so my friend.
