Wembley Stadium, London - December 3, 2008.
Australia's superb defence was the springboard for a hard-fought win over a star-studded Barbarians side in the Olympic Centenary match at Wembley.
The Wallabies withstood strong early pressure for Ryan Cross to create a 12th-minute try for Lote Tuqiri.
Teenage debutant James O'Connor kicked available points but a mistake let Shane Williams set up Jerry Collins for a second-half Barbarians score.
But Australia sealed victory with a brilliant Lachie Turner try late on.
The result means Australia go home having won four of their six tour matches, beating Italy, England and France but losing to New Zealand and Wales.
The match was organised as part of the British Olympic Association's celebrations of the centenary of the first Olympics in London, where the Games will return in four years' time.
I love watching Rugby a lot more then watching Football It's awesome when people post these full games pretty soon I'll be playing for my church rugby team so this helps me get a better feel for the game.

@Lu4ty No problem on the reply! There was nothing overly harsh in your comment...pointed out a faux-pas, and (mea culpa)...you were spot on. (Although, I must admit, I'm enjoying a lovely little flame-war with a young kiwi on another posting. I shouldn't enjoy it so much, but, the lad keeps coming back for more! I can't disappoint him, right? :-)
Anyway, I hear there's some games going on down in NZ...enjoy 'em! I'm trying to catch what I can over here in the "colonies!" Cheer!

@Lu4ty aw, freakin' nuts! i hate it when people do that to me. Sorry. BTW, knowing in advance probably won't cause you to enjoy it any less. This is probably one of the best I've seen, so far. (limited sample size, though, I admit.) I promise to type more carefully in the future! :-)
Cheers.

I'm a new fan to rugby, but of the few dozen matches I've watched, this has been the most entertaining. It seems (and I leave it to wiser minds to say) that the ref did a great of job of not needlessly slowing down the game. I'm a fan of Shane Williams, so I'm glad to hear his name (honorably) mentioned during the game, but, I was glad that Australia persevered. Their defense deserved that win. Thanks @hike6ones for posting these full games.
