  • Omg that's a lot of water lol. I usually pour in only 1/3-1/5 of the drip pot. Too much water will introduce the 'sour' taste to the coffee. For a less concentrated drink, i dilute it with water afterward or just let the ice melts instead.

  • @bkhoavo Thanks, that's a good idea! I'll try that next time I make it.

  • Hi, nice strainer, it's clean and practical. Where did you get that? Brand? Is that specifically for Vietnamese coffee? Thanks

  • @meappy I don't know the brand but I bought these at Ranch 99 market (they would probably be available from any Asian market or cooking supply store,) They cost about $4 each. I've only used them from Vietnamese coffee but I'm sure that you could use them with any other strong drip coffee.

  • how many ounces is that glass that you are using?

  • @kimmie117 It's a 10 oz. glass.

  • "cà phê sữa đá" is what you are making :X

  • this is definitely the way to make fine coffee in Vietnamese style :) U have to wash your cup and filter with hot water first. Pour a little hot water first, wait for coffee powder to absorb to get the best taste and fragance.

  • this is not realy coffee it is mixed with manz thinks like burne suger and manz spice

  • @cpthemonstergamer

Yu cud get them at a asain store

  • where do i get one of those?

  • Known locally as cà phê sữa đá (Vietnamese milk coffee iced). We have it in Cambodia as well. Basically, anywhere the French were, they left coffee and baguettes.

  • What grind should the coffee have? espresso? french press? somewhere in between?

  • you also don't want to use *boiling* water. just shy of a boil

  • looks just about right to me

  • @FrenchMartini - actually, you should put just a 'little' water in first (less than an Oz) to let the coffee 'bloom'. Wait about 20~30 seconds. Then pour the rest of the water in - just as you have done.
