Part 1

The quality is not as high as I would have liked, (nor as high as my original recording), but I've decided to upload it anyway since the election was not the most important one in recent times. The figures on the screen are sometimes difficult to read as a result unfortunately; the BBC seemed to use a very small font size in 2001. I'm disappointed because I always attempt to upload election videos with the highest quality sound and picture possible.

  • @MrAJR76 Well, not really. The simple fact of the matter is that there are hundreds of thousands of voters (esp in the north) who will just never vote Tory. I know that a dislike of Cameron personally wasn't the only reason. But something that one has to be prepared to face when one takes charge of the Conservative party is that there is a large proportion of very partisan working class voter, and Cameron wasn't really able to deal with that.

  • @ganonisthebest That's nonsense. Right from the start in '06 Cameron was bringing the Tories huge opinion poll leads & massive local election victories. A large (& bizarre) sympathy vote for Brown started to build at the end of '09, and that was what killed the Tories' momentum. Cameron's current popularity rating is surprisingly high, given the thankless task he is dealing with.

  • @Gmansroyalguard Cameron couldn't win a majority because people dislike him, not because the Tories didn't win popular support at the start of the decade.

  • worst election ever the Bliar & Campbell machine was in full spin.

  • the most pointless election in history, blair was invinsable at that time

  • What is the theme music?

  • You had the balls to watch though (?) and I salute that.

  • Hard for the tories to do anything in this election, since especially for the first term Labour just copied tory policies and hoped their core would stay loyal, which they did.

  • For a staunch tory such as myself, this is absolute torture.

  • One point, the three current main party leaders, Cameron, Clegg and Miliband were not even elected yet! Cameron was elected for the first time at this election.
