Waltz for Hendrik

Manie Erasmus, from South Africa, plays one of his compositions, "Waltz for Hendrik", on a 40 button Wheatstone concertina. Manie is the brother of the late Rassie Erasmus, the Concertina King of South Africa. Manie plays justs as well as his brother did. He is currently one of the top concertina player in South Africa.

Thank you. Manie is not only very talented but he is very humble and approachable. He has recorded several CD's. This one tune sounds even better when accompanied by his band that includes a piano accordion and a guitar.

It is a beautiful tune. I can listen to this tune over and over. Manie Erasmus knows how to bring the most beautiful sounds out of a concertina!

Finally! A sane tune, well done on concertina. Good articulation and, among other things, rhythm (something, concertina players usually don't need, it seems). You'd probably need bigger air hole, to cut down those "sniffings".
