  • I believe the term "dirty blood" is referring to "blood stasis" or "blood stagnation," meaning that blood circulation to the area is impaired. Cupping increases the circulation to the areas treated, enhances blood flow, and often will release nervous energy concentrated in an area where pain is the primary manifestation of stagnant Qi, or energy blockage. The bleeding that this practitioner uses just gives an outlet for that stagnation; it's not absolutely necessary for stagnation to clear.

  • The type of problem that the patient is suffering from can be visably seen in the color that the skin turnes in the cupped area. a few options are blue purple and black, each with their respective meaning.

  • Alcohol is a bad idea. it's not a blood thinner. it dialates the blood vessels. this is a temporary fix, and once the results of the alcohol wear off youre worse than you were befor you drank. (Mantak Chia)

  • Wait, you ingest the salt?

Sodium increases blood pressure, which would cause MORE blood stagnation, not less?

Alcohol would be a better idea for moving blood stagnation.. thins the blood, and is considered to be grouped in the "hot" essentia quality of foods. (Tooth from the Tigers mouth, foods and their qualities chapter)

  • Very interesting!

  • Thats a much better answer then Ive gotton. Normaly left with the words " dirty blood" Wich answers nothing at all.

  • Has there even been tests on the blood to show it is "dirty" Or is this another placebo thing?

  • Possible treatment for hyperemia?
