Just bought the tabs on his website. Walked through playing it once VERY slowly. It is SOOO difficult to get the thumb part down. I'm not sure how to proceed... this will take me a very long time to be able to play smoothly.

@Neut1990 Totally right. Part of the time change difficulty you're describing can especially be heard in his thumb. It's great fun to listen to the whole tune and only listen to what he's doing with his thumb. It's really extraordinary.

Not only is this technically difficult to play but the timing changes are outrageous. I've had the chance to play with Clive on a couple of occasions and seen him in concert at the Milkmaid Folk Club and the videos do not do him justice. You need to see this live to really appreciate it. Clive is superb and puts on a great show!

Great tune. Technically one of the best players around, probably comparable to tommy emmanuel or peter finger. very good.
