dude, you are good, but you gotta make every note count... shaping every note, like kottke. it is about how the notes come out. you got the technique... not the soul.  sad to say, but i think you miss the point... and will always miss the point unless you have the desire, not just the talent...

I appreciate your opinion--but I think that perhaps we should bear in mind the fact that Leo Kottke has been playing guitar for about 50 years and I have been playing for about 3. I don't think it has much to do with desire. It has to do with playing for a very, very long time.

you shouldn't compare a rookie of under five years, to Leo kottkey, the fact that he has enough discipline to learn a song with a degree of difficulty and be proud of his acomplishment is saying something. also he has the rest of his life.to practice

Good job kiddo; have you considered attending a university guitar program after you graduate from high school? The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee has the only fingerstyle program in the country and is run by John Stropes, whom I'm sure you're familiar with. I'll be starting their in the fall and I'm sure you would have no trouble getting accepted.
