UPDATE: Primed it, still no start! 1984 Ford F150 won't start after replacing fuel pump and starter solenoid. What should I try next?

  • hey add gas to the carb a lil bit of gas if it dont fire there then its ur plugs they are not getting fire mean it maybe the disturber cap if it cant figer it out get back in touch with me and we wil figer it out

  • Maybe the disturbiter cap got turned alot or maybe the plug wire's r in the wrong spot or like invalidtye..Said it may an ignition problem it may not be getting fire

  • does it have spark

  • Change your distributor control module. Mine use to do the same thing.

  • The float was stuck. It was just out of gas...running again!! YAY!!!!

  • not getting any gas...pump it more

  • if you have tried dumping raw gas or starting fluid into the carb, it has fuel, at least enough to run a couple seconds. so i say its an ignition problem. remove a sparkplug, reattach it to the wire and hold it to ground under the hood. crank the engine. does the spark plug fire?

  • its a ford.....its normal for this to happen

  • pull a plug wire, or coil wire from the distributor to see it's getting spark, if has spark, pull your aircleaner off and move the throttle linkage in an accelerating motion, and see if gas is squirting into the carb, you should see 2 little nozzels shooting gas down into the intake. If not gas, clogged fuel filter, maybe cloggedold carb, maybe a clogged or kinked fuel line. Good luck
