Merci!

@josiahsixkiller Sure! There is space enough but I have to be watchful of big ships. It is not "sailing paradise" but it is my place! ;)
-
@josiahsixkiller but it's wide enough to tack and actually sail? Any freighters or barges to watch out for?
-
@josiahsixkiller Always! There are no tides in the Montreal region and the current is constant. We have to accept going fast down current and slower going up! ;)

Okay thanks for the heads up! I love Montreal and Quebec in general but I may go out the Eerie canal as it's a more direct route to the Atlantic from Duluth.

@josiahsixkiller I wish you some happy sailing!

Interessant J'aime, Montreal! I may sail out the Saint Lawrence from Duluth this summer and I'm planning the trip. Thanks for the information.

@josiahsixkiller My pleasure! Be sure to get the charts. Or a GPS map.

@OldJong I'm fine through the Great Lakes but what would I be charting or need a GPS map for in the actual canals and Saint Lawrence? Just sand bars?

@josiahsixkiller The Saint-Lawrence has its share of dangers. From Lake Ontario, you will go trough the thousands islands, lots of shoals and rocks. Youy will have to follow a channel trough lakes St-Francois and St-Louis, the same there. There are shoals and rocks in many places on the Saint-Lawrence. You must know where you are and where these things are.
