Hello Michelle.
I just bought the Amazing Slow Downer. I'm primarily a piper, and that program is great for learning the subtle rhythms and building speed. I can set the pitch to whatever practice chanter I pick up and then adjust the speed as I see fit. Thanks for pointing it out. I have been watching your videos and learning the bodhran and it has helped my piping too. It's all interconnected I suppose. Thanks again.

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your online course here, I just got a bodhran and love it already (hanging on my wall near my dad's fiddle) and I love to be able to get them both down and play them (not at the same time, lol) and I knew there'd be someone on Youtube to help learn how to use it...Thank you so much!! my daughter got the hockey night in Canada right away when I played it, my husband didn't get it at all...shocking, he's the musical one. Thanks & keep on helping...

At the age of 59 and with no musical experience or known talent, I decided to learn to play the Bodhran. Watching your tutorials have been encouraging. Thank you for your gifts to me. I always enjoy listening to the Celtic groups when they perform in Lafayette, Louisiana. Thanks again.

Hi Michelle, please google SnakeLoops.

These are completely awsome videos :) There is so little information on this instrument :) Thanks so much for making all of these!

The Amazing Slow Downer sure is amazing!
I love to sing, but some male voices are just too low for my vocal range, and some female voices are too high. By adjusting the pitch it becomes more comfortable to sing along with your favourite songs.
Also, by adjusting the pitch you can turn male voices into female voices, and the other way around (doesn't work with every singer). It's so much fun! The best male female singer I discovered so far is Jack Johnson. You chould check it out. :)

Michelle, I can't thank you enough for taking the time to put up these videos. I'm having a heck of time with the upstroke. Any tips? It seems to be messing me up trying to learn the "mother of all jigs" the tempos etc. Thanks in advance!

I am so touched by all of your comments. They really make my day. I do have lots of videos coming soon so stay tuned. Hopefully plan to feature my husband on uilleann pipes so we can play along to some tunes.
Keep up the amazing work. Sounds like you're having as much fun learning as I am teaching. And, just in case I forgot to tell you - you'll have a love/hate relationship with the triplets for the first while, but when you get them it's hard to stop and you'll love them. Happy Drumming.

Ian walked in while I was watching this vid and said "that's cool!" He wants to try it with his guitar.
I hear you're doing a summer session at the college this year--do you know if a person is able to just take one course? I wouldn't likely have the time to do the whole day, but would love to catch your lessons when you're back in CB!

Pretty sure you can take a class or two as a day student Jen. I will contact the Gaelic College this week and double check with them and get back to you. You know it's so fun though - I can just see you spending the rest of the day practicing anyway. lol

Hi Michelle. I've had a program for almost 5 yrs. now that does the very same thing. It's called Pulse Master. I had version 1.6, and upgraded to v.2 (they're already up to v.5). I paid $39.90US for it back then, but the latest version is only $29.90US. But just for your own information, check out the review and screenshot of it on download.cnet. :)

Will definitely check that program out. Thanks so much for posting it here as others may prefer one program over another.
