Finally, there's a one minute airflare guide on here that tells you how exactly to push with your arm to generate that hop.
Basically, you have to push up, in relation to you. Instead of pushing just straight away from the ground think of it like your pushing a shotput ball thing into the air. Ur not just pushing with ur triceps, ull be pushing with your shoulder too. The resultant force will push your hips up and give you the actual hop.

Starting too high. Start lower and try to lift it higher as you turn over. If you think of your hips on a y-axis, they just go up and come straight down. What you want is try to hop at the high point. So start low, and try to gain the height as ur swinging your legs around.
Also with the legs, think more of a sideways motion instead of a windmill twist kind of motion. Pike your legs and twist side to side instead of trying to scissor kick with your legs.
