After the Mythbusters busted the myth that Archimedes could have created a steam powered cannon, I decided that it was more than possible, given the right approach.

Sometimes it is the delivery that counts the most. Don't you get tired of all the negativity and hateful comments? I do not think he was going to report to anyone on his findings. He was just having fun. If you see something he could improve, by all means do a video on your thoughts and show him. If you can comment of improving a part of his device, do so and explain why and how you think it is so. It takes balls to put up a video and then set back and get crucified for having fun. Cheers

Then you won't look like such an idiot.Anytime one takes the time to build something they are interested in, have fun with their friends, plus learn something, the're millions of light years ahead of a babbling arm chair no-it-all. I think what you did was cool and what a great way to spend a day with one of your mates having fun. Flash steam takes more engineering, more money, but lots of power. I have a great idea on how to do it and keep the installation small cheap but very powerful. If you are interested email me and I will send you the idea.

of course it is possible to build some cind of steam cannon.. mythbusters did that.... so you did not proof anything with this video.. you did not make an Archimedes Steam Cannon. the Archimedes Steam Cannon was about flash boiling water in a confined space,

@rbmaserang at least mythbusters introduce a very basic idea, to put claims to the test, in that way they are doing the world a service.
