This video is an example of slow gear changing on a BMW M3 E46 2005 Model Car. Additionally the last yellow light on the rev counter remains on even when warm. I have posted this video to gain advice on a solution.

  • Have you ever driven an M3 that didn't behave in this way? It is because you are driving it so gently. If you accelerate harder it will change harder.

  • I own an E46 M3 SMG. It's a very intelligent system. It reacts to your left foot. If you're gentle, it will shift as such, whether your in A1 or S6. You push harder, so will it. This is common knowledge for any BMW SMG driver.

  • @KorkmazV in regards to the delay on the pedal you can by a thing called a sprint boost. it basically increases the signal response on the accelerator pedal. i got my 330ci clubsport remapped and the mapper was able to put the sprint boost on the map for me = 2 for 1 remap and sprint boost. but cant help on the smg thing as i have a tip tronic auto.

  • Is this an auto?

  • my brother had a e46 330ci smg, that also was VERY slow on shifting gears PLUS it was accelerating maybe half a second after you pushed down the pedal?
