After the fever broke and still weak, he showed himself to the people of England from a balcony with Edward, his only son by his third wife Jane Seymour, to wave at the worried crowd. Rumors had already spread that the king was dead.

100 years after Henry VIII's death, doctors claimed he probably died of syphilis but recently, it's been claimed that it was more than likely Type 2 Diabetes.

I learned somewhere that a possible cause of Henry's death was mersa. I totally forget what that is, but that could have been it. LOL
