Thanks for your comments guys. Just to answer a remanent question: the album title is not about the band Mors Principum Est, in fact we discovered this band only after the album recording. An Altered State of Consciousness can be various states of mind when experiencing hypnosis, trance, meditation, near death experience... This last one is the reason of our album title. Greetings,

I like Insomnium pretty much (Be'lakor, too), but I just simple couldn't put these 2 bands in the same cluster with FG. Ok, the label "melodic death metal" might be common in them, but Insomnium walks much more the way of 'classic' melodic death metal: based on skillful guitar themes, in the footprints of (old) In Flames and lacks really surprising solutions in their music. But Fractal Gates created something more special and unique on this album. The atmosphere is very-very different for me.

FG and Barren Earth are diffenetly in my to 3 list but they are nowhere near Be'lakor, the atmosphere they create can't be found in any other band and the vocalist is just unique.

but at the end of the day everyone have their own taste so ....... by the way sorry if i misspelled some words, english is my second lunguage :)

This band sounds great so far. But I don't think they can compare to Be'Lakor, especially what that band created on Stone's Reach. And especially not Insomnium on Across the Dark. But this is good. Really good, and I like it.
