A classic from the days of CTI Records. Freddie Hubbard's 'First Light" and the song "Moment to Moment".

  • lol, @MoosicandCritters...'dope' means good.

  • Crazy, intoxicating sounds of trumpet ... they are equally magnificent in all trumpet virtuosos like Miles Davis, Donald Bird, Dizzy Gillespie, but the music of Freddie Hubbard is heartbreaking, painfully, tearfully beautiful ... Oh, infinitely beautiful ...

  • Absolutely beautiful.....

  • It's like a cigarette after sex, Crisp and Classic!!

  • Fantastik - finding this has made my night ...

    *boswell* of course and indeed

why does it not surprise me that you would bring perfection like this to the Tube

  • This is masterpiece reflecting the beauty, charm, joy, passion and soul that oozed from Freddie’s horn. This is all about the music... and what a musical legacy we have to partake in with the technological vehicles like you tube keeping this music alive and in the forefront.

  • @Weekyl that may be so, but i know cheese when i hear it :)

  • @Weekyl Thank you for the reference to "Here's That Rainy Day". A very beautiful rendition by Freddie, George and Ron. Strangely I only recently discovered Freddy Hubbard on the recommendation of a beautiful friend living far away. I think Ron Carter was on 12 of the first 15 jazz albums I bought. Elvin Jones was the drummer on 8 of the first 10 jazz albums I bought. I thought that was just how drums were played in jazz songs. That was the 70's. Those were different times. Greg Gibbs

I love Miles too, but I don't think even he could play a ballad as well as Freddie. Check out Freddie's "Here's That Rainy Day" with Ron Carter and George Benson on YouTube.

  • @Jerkicus

You obviously know nothing about arranging

  • ignoring the cheesy string arrangement, this is pure gold

  • @UBZUKI it dont mean a thang if it aint got that slang.
